+What is Pro/CONCEPT?
The primary function for Pro/CONCEPT is for proving shape and form then rendering that form. This polygon model is very easy to generate. This new concept sketching and modeling tool is from PTC . Whether the product is large or small, Pro|CONCEPT's integrated painting and modeling tools allow the designer to develop and iterate multiple ideas quickly and easily.

+Rendering From Pro/ENGINEER
The Pro/CONCEPT Rendering engine is much more advanced than that of the Photolux effort in the PTC package. Learn the intricacies of procedural rendering like that of Alias or Maya with this unique tool.

+Proving Form
Industrial designers use either a pencil or the pencil or pen tools in Pro/CONCEPT to first dictate concepts. Designers start with curves by tracing directly over a scanned-in image or sketch. Users can then drop down a Soap which is simply a polygon clay form that can be manipulated using a variety of NURBS like tools. This new type of polygon modeling takes advantage of smooth refine and decimate functions.

Curves and surfaces can then be built to slice and sculpt away portions of the soap. To hone the shape further there are a multitude of tools available to mature that shape and form such as sculpt and blend tools. One can modify those early curves of the model by pushing or pulling then watch connected surfaces update in a robust fashion.
